just watched the episode titled chase for the first time and it was genuinely maybe one of my favs... it really talks about grief without mentioning it at all. and like. instead of ending miserably bc the patient leaves never to fuck chase with the power of fulfillment again, theres this appreciation for the moment they shared, however fleeting and ephemeral.

house says he hasnt changed but thats not true at all. lets not forget he hugged chase upon returning from jail!!! he apologized to him more than once and meant it!! house gives major dad vibes. like sorry i messed you up kid. i did only what i thought was best and it wasnt enough. i see the pain youre in and im sorry i was not only powerless to prevent it, but had a hand in it.
